We are really excited that you are considering starting counseling. We understand that this process can sometimes feel overwhelming, and we aim to streamline it for you. Perhaps you have encountered roadblocks before when seeking help... We hope to connect you with one of our counselors and will work diligently to do so.
How this works...we make this easy for you!
Maybe you have never been to counseling before! Hopefully, this page helps to give you an idea of what to expect.

1. Give us a call at 509-903-6551, or email us at info@riversidetherapycenter.com to start the process or get your appointment or consult scheduled.

2. Our staff (typically our practice manager) will be in contact with you. The practice manager then works with you to determine which counselor would be the best fit. This depends on your needs, goals, schedule, the counselor's schedule, and your insurance/billing requirements. Don't be afraid to ask questions!
3. Sometimes, depending on your insurance and billing needs, this may determine which counselor can work with you (insurance is sometimes complicated). The practice manager can review your insurance plan and help you select the best option.
4. After you choose a counselor, we will email you a client portal, which will have all of your electronic documents that need to be signed before your first appointment. Don't worry... it shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes!

5. For your first appointment, you will meet with your counselor. They might ask you questions about why you want to start counseling, what your goals are, and maybe some background information as well.

6. You and your counselor will work together to create a schedule. Typically, weekly appointments are the norm. That decision will be up to you and your counselor!
