Pete Kopplin
LMHCA-Intern
I’m Pete Kopplin, a pre-licensed professional counselor finishing my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I work well with people who find themselves in the messy tension of being tired, broken, and alone, but still needing to respond to the pressures of life. I particularly enjoy working with men who may not be sure if counseling is for them, or those in transition. I also have experience working with athletes, business professionals, couples in crisis, and others who want to find a path forward that works when what used to work just isn’t working anymore.
My approach is calm, curious, and direct. I draw primarily from Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, helping clients move toward the things they value most, learn to take responsibility for what they can control, and let go of what they can’t. I also utilize Existential and Adlerian therapies, ACT, and SFT, along with other evidence-based approaches.
I've spent 25 years in roles that have taught me how to show up for people. I’ve owned businesses, coached people and teams, pastored, and walked with people through crisis, loss, grief, and change. I’m also a husband and a dad. These experiences have shaped the way I listen, how I ask questions, and how I hold space for growth without rushing the process.
