Welcome!

My name is Maia Brown, and I am a counseling intern. I am excited to be a part of your
counseling journey. I believe the counseling process can help clients better understand
themselves and achieve their goals.

I am interested in working with individuals across the lifespan, with a particular focus on
children. I have prior experience working with children as well as older adults who present with
anxiety and depression.

My goal is to help clients build resilience in order to overcome their daily obstacles. I will offer
encouragement throughout the counseling process as well as help guide clients to understand
their strengths. I will also advocate for my clients and help them find resources they need in
order to be successful in achieving their goals. The theories that inform my work are person-
centered, Adlerian, and existential.
